Started in Hong Kong in 1970s, our founder Ying Lam Cheung first began as a mold maker at the age of 16. He always loved listening to music during his leisure time after 10 hours of work when he was a young man. With his focus and attention in details, and his perfectionist personality, he started his own company in 1983 in mechanical design and plastic injection mold making. One day, he had an idea that he wanted to create his own speaker. He spent days and nights in his room all alone – drawing the design, calculating volume, selecting components and materials. In 1990, he created Dorchase first 2.1 speaker system, by the time CD just became popular in everybody’s home.
